Philothea Missionary Society is open to people who wish to commit themselves, as lay persons, to the work of forming other Christians. Philothea members are known as Philotheas.
As a formative and apostolic person, every Philothea undergoes initial formation for at least one year before commencing the apostolate. Thereafter, Philotheas are required to attend continuous formation sessions to enhance their capabilities and proactively respond to the needs of the Church.
The particular way each one carries out their mission is dependant on one’s own sate of life e.g.,married, family life, single, widowed.
