About the Ministry
Formation of family and young people is vital for any Society, especially a Christian society. It is often in and from the natural families that people experience wholeness, love and personal growth. Indeed “the future of humanity passes by way of the family” (Pope John Paul II, FC 86). However families need support. Marriages need to be prepared, and people entering into married life have to be formed. It is in the families that the children will find the proper nest for their growth into maturity. Seeing the close connection between the Healthy Families and the Formation of the Young people, the Philothea Mission coordinates both ministries in a process of mutual conversation. Youth and Family life programmes are done through short courses, retreats, seminars and conferences.
